The mix of poetry and prose gives the book a unique pulse that makes you want to keep reading. I believe this book can truly inspire the young and old to work towards building a strong future for African Americans.


This book is easy to read, well-organized and inspiring. I found myself trying to think of ways to share the book with youth and adults alike. Although the book doesn't delve into a detailed history lesson, it highlights the accomplishments of a number of African and African Americans and leaves you wanting to go and learn more about them.
